About Wanda

As a zealous advocate and pastor of women and marginalized communities, Wanda seeks to raise consciousness, remove barriers, and guide people toward an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. She is a committed leader who believes that true transformation occurs when hearts and minds are expanded.

A licensed attorney for 29 years, Wanda serves as the director of Corporate Affairs and Risk Management (CARM) where she combines her legal training, corporate governance background, and pastoral experience with her passion to see people empowered and professionally developed in the workplace.

Wanda and her husband, Benjamin, serve as pastors of Solid Rock Christian Center in Colorado Springs. They have four daughters and 10 grandchildren.

Wanda will speak to us about abiding in Christ.

About John
A native of Houston, Texas, John was born into a Nigerian home where the gospel was cherished deeply and modeled excellently. After graduating from Baylor University, John received an masters from Dallas Theological Seminary. His passion for seeing solid theological training in the urban context has him currently pursuing a doctorate of education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as college pastor at Lifeline Bible Fellowship before moving to Atlanta in 2009 to become the co-founder of Blueprint Church. John recently released his first book, Prayer: How Praying Together Shapes the ChurchJohn lives in Southwest Atlanta with his wife, Shawndra, and daughter, Ava. They are eager to see the hope of the gospel restore a sense of family, dignity, and hope to their neighborhood through their local church of ordinary people.

Navigators Collegiate Director

Ben Nugent has been on staff with The Navigators for 18 years. He worked with Collegiate as a campus director in Colorado and Florida and as a regional director in Florida and the Heartland. After serving as an associate Field director and the Mission director for Navigators 20s, Ben is now the Mission director for Navigators Collegiate.

Ben has a heart to see healthy people on healthy teams leading healthy ministries. “I get out of bed every day to help develop, train, raise up, and pray for lifelong disciplemakers.”

Ben and his wife, Melissa, live in Colorado Springs along with their children Sam (12) and Vivian (9) and their dog, Wrigley—the perfect name for a pet of a lifelong Cubs fan!

Al Engler

Associate Field Director

Al came to Christ while in the army and has served with The Navigators for more than 30 years in Europe and the United States. In the past decade, he has served as Seattle City leader, Army branch director, and in his current role as Mission director of Disciplemakers for Life. He is also an associate Field director.

Al has a strong desire to help ordinary people live out the full implications of the gospel in community settings—something Al and his wife, Iris, pursue in their own Seattle neighborhood. Al and Iris have two adult children: Justin, who lives in Seattle, and Natalie, who lives in San Antonio with her husband, Isak.
